@Mitchell You're going to LOVE the pod. I used a tubed pump for years and only recently switched to the Omnipod. I wish I'd done it sooner - it's fantastic.

I am so itchy all the time I have given up using the omnipod. I am now on MDI and enjoy being itch free. Either I have an allergy to the adhesive in the pod or the plastic. Don't know which, but I enjoy being itch free right now. My Levemir dose sti…

Erika, actually it lasts 80 hours. There is an 8-hour buffer after the expiration alert. I almost always wear mine for the full 80 if I have more than 10 units remaining.

Thanks for beginning this site. I work for Insulet Corp, and I hope to bring value to the patients in this group.

Hi Mathew

Welcome to TuDiabetes. It's great to see someone else joining us from overseas.

Here are a few tips on how to make the most of the site. Check out the Group section as there are lots of useful groups that you'd probably like to join.

If you find the community useful, we'd be honored if you could link to us on your blog/site if you have one or invite family, friends, colleagues and anyone whom you feel may benefit from it.

BTW, if you know of any other folks who only speak Spanish, please let them know about EsTuDiabetes.com, our sister Spanish-speaking community.
