So my hubby and I decide to take afew days away right??? The 1st night my pump becomes detached from me. I wake up at 3 in the morning with a 511 bs. So I think I got it together and the next night I fall to a 21 and my hubby was gone so it was all up to me to do this right??? My vision was so blured and well I was sweating beyond beleive and life just wasn't going my way ok???? I slowly make it over to the frige in our room and get the gluagon kit (now that was an adventure in itself)…

Ok 1st off WHY did I fight lows all day yesterday (the highest I got was 75 the lowest I got was 32) and today I'm in a war with high bs readings. Now got that off my chest.
My husband's back surgery and his recovery are going pretty good although he had a bad fall 2 days ago. (I'm going to hurt him if he keeps whinning LOL) my scope on my shoulder is scheauled for the 30th of March. Can u see 2 middle aged ppl going around acting like their 90??? It may very well happen around here…

Hey all I just wanted t post this and show that sometimes we get a surprise on a certian day of the year...............Today is my daughter's 23rd birthday and also my 38th year of being a Type 1. When they told me on the 10th of August back in 1973 that I was a Type 1 diabetic I thought my life had ended. Then 15 years later I got my baby (my daughter) on the 10 of August in 1988. She gave me a BIG reason to go on with my life. She's a Type 1 too and now has 3 children. All in all this has… Continue
What a Summer!!!!!!!!!

I mean that as "a NOT good Summer" I have been wrapped up in my own stuff here and I've not been here too much. I just check in for about 10 minutes aday and hardly ever say anything but when I do here lately I give Medicare a hardtime. My pump decided to go kapoot last month and I've kinda been fighting the highs, Got a 90 day loaner but now I'm working on ordering a new one. Hope all are doing well! It's just been one of those Summers (not a Summer fan anyway. I MUCH perfer Fall to Summer)… Continue

I have hitchimotos thyroiditis as well. so antibodies r destroying my thyroid too. I wish they cld discover why our antibodies do the opposite. :(

I ended up getting my hair cut really short because it is easier to take care of in the summer, I have wavy hair, that waves in all the wrong places unfortunately, my hair was long and so hot, feels great freedom to have a bare neck and hair not hanging in my face and all over the place. - Lol! awww I have chinchillas ;) I'm a huge animal lover. I was on the minimed pump. I just didn't do great on it. I gave it two yrs. Now tht I'm back on injections I have gotten better control. But sometimes I feel like my body rejects insulin sometimes. Sounds crazy but I've had a few times where I wld correct n id stay the same number! Its fustrating. N makes no sense....
