Great Article you posted, I have felt this way for years...I was actually in a Diabetes class where the Diabetes educator said she thought Type II was much worse than Type I.
I felt like screaming "Type II's are not on Life support---big difference!"

I would trade Type I diabetes for Type II diabetes any day..

So maybe one day you'll have to crew for us on our 30' Catalina? We're heading off at end of this week for 3 weeks of sailing - we do this every year. No, haven't gone back onto pump, my feelings about it are almost a twin of your thoughts. I just feel guilty because I'm actually still paying for it - and it took a chunk out of our savings to get the pump - plus I have friends who would love to have a pump & can't afford it. If only they could be comfortable with MDI like you and I (and others are). Sigh. I want candy now after listening to your tune! :)

Just thought I'd pop by to see how MDI is coming along for you. I'm thinking of going back to the pump tomorrow - but I'm actually chicken to do this - it's that a silly thing to say? My A1C after being back on MDI hasn't changed since I went off the pump - which is a good thing - still at 5.9 (had gone lower - but that was due to learning adjustments with the pump - and lows).

M ~ love your music. I've been on this site for two days now... I really like it and enjoyed looking at your ACTIVE life style. Also loved the photo of your doggie watching "doggie TV"...

Sugar, ah, honey, honey... great song to dance to...

Now that you mention it, I think I've heard of both camps! The first one sounds fun, I just need to find the time and money to go. The second one, Team WILD, actually has a pretty big following on facebook:

A friend of mine Nancy Eastman has participated in the camp and I think is actually on Team WILD! You should check it out!!!

I have never done a tri, my swimming is non-existent at best. I'm excited for you getting the tri bug!!! From what I hear, you'll become addicted quick! I stick more with the cycling but love trying all different disciplines from Off-Road time trials to 100 mile MTB races and 12/24 hour racing!!! When would you do your first tri?

I am familiar with the Grand Island area!!! Sailing sounds wonderful right now!!! We share in the shoveling in the winter out here in Stow, OH! lol!

Thank you for being my friend as well!!! I was just passing through Buffalo this past weekend on my way back from Lake Placid! My Grandparents live in Lackawanna and my Uncle is in Hamburg. I stopped by to break up the 9.5 hour trip back!

Did you find anything about diabetes camps for adults? I saw that was one of the ways you stumbled upon this site. Now I'm curious!
