Hiya Mark,
I did the DAFNE course about2 years ago and found it great. Its a week long course on Dose Adjustment For Normal Eating. You learn to count your carbs and then adjust your insulin so that you can eat whatever and when ever you want.
You also learn how to effectivly deal with your sugars while exersicing and drinking. currently Loughlinstown hospital are running it in Dublin but im not sure where else in Ireland does. Im sure your nurse will be able to tell you if they are offering it.
There is a website for it www.dafne.uk.com.
I do alot of exercise and fine it difficult to keep my sugars stable and this really helped me!! also made nights out a pub alot easier too!!
Any more questions just ask

hello mark and welcome to TuD.
i have been a member for a little over a year now and have gotten a lot of good advice and support from everyone.
and even on the days where i just feel like venting out frustration this is te best place to come because everyone listens and helps with everything.

i hope you begin to feel a little more like a found puppy instead of lost.
