So after reading The Fault in Our Stars, were they mentioned cancer perks. I realized I should use this disease I have to my advantage. I'm not talking manipulating people, well kinda but I'll leave that to my friends who now convince their parents to let them make the 5 hour drive to see me by using my diabetes (and slightly making it sound worse than it is). But using it every once and awhile to get out of chores or a boring church lecture wouldn't be to bad right?
It's been two weeks and man does it suck. It really hit me at a dance yesterday, my friends were drinking punch but I couldn't because I knew my numbers were already high and who knows what's in it. And dating oh that should be so much fun. Sorry I have to take my blood sugar oh and count the carbs in this meal. I was lucky when I got diagnosed. My grandfather and uncle have type 2 to so with all my symptoms and the 20 lbs I lost. We bought a glucose meter and my blood sugar was 480 so into the ER we went after several hours and a full IV bag it was up to the peds floor. They finally fed me at 11 that night which kinda seemed crazy to me I mean really feed the diabetic. That was 2 weeks ago today. So that's my story.
