Any Ideas?

Posted on October 3, 2013 at 8:08pm 8 Comments

So I started college about a month ago and while I've never been perfect about managing my diabetes this past month I've been terrible.I'm aware that I need to be better and hopefully my insulin pump should be here any day now. But I need some ideas on how to remember to test my blood sugar and also some general keeping it in balance tips.

Switching Doctors?

Hey guys!

I'm looking for a little advice today.

I've been having issues with my current diabetes care staff. First off my doctor doesn't know who I am knows nothing about my chart or preferences after 6 months (which has been 4 visits. Second I asked to be put on a pump and they said they would do all the paperwork they gave me worksheets and said it would take 2 weeks at max that was 5 weeks ago, to go along with that I've been trying to get a hold of them for 2 weeks now to…

I'm a food lover and I tend to post pictures of my food on Facebook and my family down there is always telling me I CAN'T eat that. My family knows quite a bit about Type 2 my grandpa and uncle both have it but when it…

Hair loss?

Posted on February 28, 2013 at 6:45pm 6 Comments

For about the last 2 weeks my hair has been falling out in really big clumps. Not to the point of bald spots, but it has gotten equally thin everywhere. Is this a side effect other people have? Or is it completely unrelated?

Welcome to the family! On this forum you will learn so much. Most of all you will learn that you are not alone. Everyone here is supportive and will provide answers to your questions. Search the site for answers. Read the discussions and blogs for information. There are videos to help you understand diabetes and its treatment.
