35 years ago TODAY!!!

Hello! its been awhile since my last entry to my BLOG! But today is a day to not REGRET the PAST! but move forward in this Journey and Mission in Life till the Cure is found. ON THE ROAD TO RECOVERY:)

Hello! Tu community, My foot continues to be getting better each and everday. Its been three weeks this past Thursday. But I can not Thank! my poditrast enough. He was blessed in given a Gift of healing. I hope someday I to can help other diabetics like my self. Now that I am off crutches. I can get my back to were its suppose to be. IT REALLY WAS THE TIME OF MY LIFE:)............

Well last Thursday night was PUMPYS FIRST CONCERT we went to see American Idol.All the Idols were AMAZING!! It seemed like there were Angels all around me that night. T.G.I.F. :)

Well thank god its Friday. In more ways than one.I had another chiropracter appointment yesterday all went well.And then today I went to work. And I choice not to use the Biofreeze today. To see if that was raising my numbers 2 hours after breakfast. Which i was correct. But then after my break i got really bad pains going up my back and a upset stomach. hi diabeticidol, my name is dobby ( not my real name) I am a very good friend of vikki pennigtons, I am sosorry and sad to tell you that my best friend vikki has passed away in her home due to complications of diabetes. she and I met on yahoo answers we were each others contact. when I became newly diagnosed last year vikki was the first person I told about it. she shared her knowledge of diabetes with me, told me of this site she belonged to and counseled me ever since. so I oringianlly came here just to inform her friends of her passing just in case they didn't know. I know many of you loved her as much as I did. and will be just as heart broken to hear of the news of her passing. but now that I am here and have become a memeber perhaps I'll stay. I miss her terriably and my heat is broken. how do I let her other friends on this site know about her passing? can you help. I am sorry I didn't know wherer else to post this since this is my first time on this site.

Three Ladies in a Sauna

THREE WOMEN, TWO YOUNGER, AND ONE SENIOR CITIZEN, WERE SITTING NAKED IN A SAUNA.

SUDDENLY THERE WAS A BEEPING SOUND. THE YOUNG WOMAN PRESSED HER FOREARM AND THE
BEEP STOPPED.

THE OTHERS LOOKED AT HER QUESTIONINGLY. 'THAT WAS MY PAGER,' SHE SAID. I HAVE A MICROCHIP UNDER THE SKIN OF MY ARM..

A FEW MINUTES LATER, A PHONE RANG. THE SECOND YOUNG WOMAN LIFTED HER PALM TO HER EAR.

WHEN SHE FINISHED, SHE EXPLAINED, 'THAT WAS MY MOBILE PHONE. I HAVE A
MICROCHIP IN MY HAND.'

THE OLDER WOMAN FELT VERY LOW -TECH. NOT TO BE OUT DONE, SHE DECIDED SHE
HAD TO DO SOMETHING JUST AS IMPRESSIVE. SHE STEPPED OUT OF THE SAUNA AND WENT
TO THE BATHROOM.

SHE RETURNED WITH A PIECE OF TOILET PAPER HANGING FROM HER REAR END.

THE OTHERS RAISED THEIR EYEBROWS AND STARED AT HER.

THE OLDER WOMAN FINALLY SAID.........WELL, WILL YOU LOOK AT THAT....I'M GETTING A
FAX!!

I'm probably a lot older than you are, but I just can't help but notice our simularities. I was also Dx in March of 1994. I LOVE the Rascal Flatts, and I also went to the AI concert. I went last year too, and to be honest, it was better than this years. Although you can't beat Cook, and Archy. Last year was more like a variety show, with different songs, and this year was a recap of all the songs we have already heard 10,000 times. Anyway, I also just recently, had Plantar facitis. I did not have surgey though, just $400 dollar orthotics, which worked wonders. Anyway, I saw that your last A1c was 5 something. Well, that is where we differ. Mine was 13.3. I HATE this disease, and do not want it anymore. So, I am taking a well deserved break. I have had 4 children, and they are all healthy, with my a1c being between 5-6! So, now some ME time. Well, we'll see ya later.

Hey you, sorry it has taken me so long to respond! My wife gave birth on September 10. 2008 to our 3rd baby and this one is a beautiful baby girl! In response to your question, a few years back I sponsered the ADA walk, through my beverage company that I sold. The product was Biosport...10 calories, 1 sugar and 2 carbs....Other than that I have not been as active as I would have like to have been!
