metheniac replied to LACA310's discussion 'G4 Transmitter - When did yours die?' in the group Dexcom Users
"My understanding is that Dexcom guarantees the transmitter for at least six months - but it can work fine for much longer. I too am at the 6 month mark with no sign (yet) of any need to make funeral arrangements."

metheniac replied to Joanna Meley's discussion 'Not Sticking' in the group Dexcom Users
"Hi Joanna, I put IV Prep on my skin under the sensor. I wait till it is tacky (about 30 sec.). Then I put a IV 3000 patch (with a cut out for the sensor) over the sensor & pad. This works really well for me. Hope this helps."

metheniac replied to Laddie's discussion 'Experiences with Dex G4 and lows' in the group Dexcom Users
"Hi Laddie, My experience is pretty similar to yours. I think the Dex predicts changes and sometimes overshoots. What I keep reminding myself is that this is not a perfect science and there is still lots of work to be done to make these sensors more…"

metheniac replied to Kaayle's discussion 'What to do with older dexcom?' in the group Dexcom Users
"Hi Kaayle, I suggest you ask your endo if s/he knows anyone that could use the sensors. When I switched over to the G4, I had a full box of Seven+ sensors. My endo is connected to a clinical trial research center and they were thrilled to have…"

metheniac replied to NatalieHodge's discussion 'turnaround time for low?' in the group Dexcom Users
"Hi Natalie, I think what you are asking is very different for everyone. Your response rate does not really have as much to do with the Dex as it does with your patterns. The Dex just reflects what your body is doing. I would discuss this with your…"

Laddie replied to metheniac's discussion 'Non-belt case for G4?' in the group Dexcom Users
