No ...not on our way to Kamloops that weekend :) ...you will enjoy the volunteer part no doubt .I try to stick to Team Diabetes planned events for most of my walks . I have signed up for Amsterdam , Oct . 2013 ...a bit of a celebration : 50 years in Canada, 30 years living with diabetes , having gone to College in A'dam , 1960 and will walk/run by the building ...now a City Hostel I believe . Is the Trail Run held in Kamloops as well ? ...stay cool ..it's hot in the Shuswap !

Congrats !!!...just read about your 2 amazing accomplishments : 1) your 40 th BD 2) your 40 km run ( almost half way to Salmon Arm , ha, ha ) ..Cheers !!

Nov. 5 event over at about 4.30 pm ...and we plan not to stay around in Kamloops ...hubby and I both do not like driving in the dark ..and the stretch between some parts of TCH are not are favourites ! ...may have to put on hold when we will meet . We don't visit Kamloops too often .
If you like to connect with Team Diabetes , Vancouver ...lindsay.odonnell@diabetes.ca is the new kid on the block . I get to meet her in Kelowna :)
MLA George Abbott , then Healtth Minister , nominated me to carry the O.Torch , right here in Salmon Arm ... the Western Games were held in Kamloops , correct ? And you got to carry the Torch as well !!!! Did you have a chance to purchase the Torch you carried too ?

- I did not realize you are in the Canada Group ...I shouuld have done my " home work " ;on the other hand happy to read , that you are considering doing Team D. events ...I am off to Kelowna , Oct 9 ...3 of us from Salmon Arm with Team D. this time . My number 11 :)
Kamloops CDA will have an Expo ,November 5 ; I will have a Team D display set up at Kamloops Alliance Church, Fortune Drive from 12:30-4pm. ...maybe you will attend ??
