The reason why I fight...life and all.

Feeling good tonight, feeling humbled these pass few weeks no matter how bad things get. Appreciating everything that I do have. Can't change the past, but I can make the future more meaningful. Been doing alot of preparing for the stuff to happen in our favor. At the same time making time for the family and having fun everyday as much as possible.

You never know when the last day will be. Stop being depressed, start looking at things that you can do. I don't care if you are homeless or just ou… Continue

Tonight, as I write...I'm thinking of all the members here

Tonight, as I write....I'm thinking of all the members here on the site. Thinking of all the experiences each one of us has gone thru. How people who are doing researches can learn from our writings how diabetes effects us and hoping that our words will encourage them to race for a cure. Not only that but when we do discussions or blogs about what our meds do for us and what it is that day or weeks at hand how we feel in our body or other stuff we had been doing....we are actually showing our ex… Continue

Behind the fog...a life ( A tribute to Anthony)

Tonight, as I write, my soul is swollen with tears. A man, my brother in law....was diagnoised with liver cancer stage 4. He has a year to live. If the cancer hasn't spread to his spleen and back, he might be able to have a liver transplant. If it has spread, he has about a year to live.

This man never been to a doctor or hospital in 40 years. Till 3 months ago, he started having some pain that he couldn't handled. Went to the doctor, almost a month ago and today they give him the bad news of c… Continue

Behind the fog.....a life.

Tonight I write within my deepest thoughts, words only can subscribe the meaning of how fragile I really am. My fragilness is all based on the past and the future I hold on to so dear to make a better life. Not really knowing that I'm living a life right now, and it's not just the future to wait on but to live at this moment.

This diabetes has made me make decisions sometimes I ask why. Why didn't I just take off and explore another town or region for that matter. Why couldn't I leave and live… Continue

Husband was back in hospital

Sunday morning at around 4am, my Jboy called to say that he was doing the laundry and cleaning when he got home from work. He cleaned about an hour when he had called me at my job said that the heavy cramping in his body was coming back on. Told him to eat a banana and take some meds. Told him to call me back if any worse.

By 6 o'clock, my son calls me to say that the ambulance was on the way to come for Jboy. Jboy was trying to wake up those in the house for help after going to the bathroom, h… Continue

Hello Patti thanks for the welcome. I joined tudiabetes because my son James (11) was diagnosed in January this year. We have excellent support here in New Zealand for young people with diabetes. It is a huge learning curve especially for James who has had to give up all those lovely treats he enjoyed beforehand, (not altogether) My Mum had type 2 diabetes which I think she didnt control very well, she had a series of strokes and her health deteriorated and she passed away 1st December last year. Being able to share these things is a blessing.
