Boy it has been a long time since I have checked in. My last A1C was 5.8 and I lost 12 lbs thanks to metformin and cutting down how much I eat.. I only need to loose 5 more lbs to be within my body fat index !!!! Im so exited and pleased... Thank you guys for the support !

I just discovered that their program is not completely honest. I had signed up as they claim they charge less for testing strips to help the uninsured, it turns out you can only use the card once a month and for 50 strips it is65 bucks, hardly a savings, so I went back to my reli-on. I did write them and tell them this is the only way I will send people to them..boy how disappointing !

Two nights ago I took Novalog ..24 units instead of my Lantus, as I realized my error, managed to leave on the fridge symptoms of too much insulin and followed it for the night, took my bsl and drank regular juice ...having night cold sweats are the worst..I realized I was not paying attention to which vial I had grabbed, and went Do'h!!!! I made it a point to tell my hubby of my error and now we make sure I slow down and look before I grab...a lesson well… Continue

After a month or two with the reli on I noticed my bsl was higher, as I was not cheating and being good< I decided to try the freestyle..to my conclusion I discovered my bsl was much closer to what my doc wanted...uh the frustrations and follies of a newbie lol...oh well it could be worse , one of my old time family friends that has been diabetic for 20 yrs after dinner and not testing ( he's a stubborn 65 ish yr old) he was 530 and not following his… Continue

The weather is certainly different from what I was expecting. I went with winter clothes and had to buy a whole new wardrobe! Have come home with loads more than I went out - including a chest infection which is giving me rather interesting blood sugar readings!
