Keep in touch. I know Linda is keen to get more involved in the community, possibly even mentoring. My son, on the other hand, doesn't give a toss and wants to ignore it as much as he can.
So put on some good hard rock music and rock out!
I had a look at Linda's page and left her a message. My son isnt really interested in team sports. He has aspergers as well as the diabetes. He is coping very well all things considered. He does like to play outside and does a bit of running around in the afternoons so he usually gets some regular exercise. He just got a pump last week and its making a huge difference to his levels, he had very poor control before that, despite increasing his doses very regularly. I will keep in touch with either of you if you like to let you know how it goes. I live not too far away.I am at Lake Munmorah.

We are on the central coast too. The Aussie group is pretty small.

Thanks for accepting my invite. Thanks for your supportive comment. All the best to your family, too. I hope that your son's experience will be a source of knowledge and support for his sister. He seems to be doing well and I hope he continues to do well.
Take Care.
Welcome to tudiabetes and the parents of kids group.
My son, Riley was diagnosed at the age of 3 in October '05. He is 5 now and is on an Animas insulin pump.
