Hey, Roxylove -- It doesn't have much of a range. It is about 5 feet, no fooling. I have had out of range several times. I sleep with the receiver under my pillow and sometimes, depending upon where the sensor is it will stop communicating and I have to move the receiver a little bit. That's the only downside of the Dex. However, it's not that big of a deal. I still find myself running back to my desk to get it if I've taken it out of my pocket.
