satxjohn replied to dickengel's discussion 'Ethical Cure'

satxjohn replied to Amy Lou's discussion 'What is the pump??'

I think it would be great to have a SA group of 1'ers. I'm listed on Dr. Berstein's Diet Group but have not been following it for some time. I now work out at Anytime Fitness Gym 3-5 x week and try to limit my overall calories. I'm putting my husband on the DASH diet for high blood pressure, so I'll be on that, too, for awhile.

HI! JDRF SCTX is working to get a new adult type 1 support group together again. There was one that met in 2010, but it was sporadic and not well-attended. I've been asked to help get the 2011 group up and running and will be starting on that soon. Want to help? :)

Other than that, my CDE has a great group that meets once a month that I could forward you the info for. And lastly, Twitter has a GREAT group of diabetics that tweet and group chat about a myriad of topics. If you have ideas for an adult type 1 group and want to discuss, message me and we can figure something out! Where are you in SA? -Kelsey

This is more my family here b/c they know where I'm comimng from when I rant about this and that (which makes no sence to my family. I mean when I have a hi bs I tend to fuss over how the bed is made up! LOL! My family can't get that but when we as Type 1's are high it don't take much..................atleast for me it don't! LOL) Please enjoy it here with us and if you need anything just ask me. If I can't figure it out I will find someone who can.
