I've tried Cymbalta, but it was for depression not neuropathy. It had a sedating effect on me, in fact I was on it for a couple of years, but got off of it because it was making me too sedated. I do have some occasional "ant races" on my shins th...

Hi

Hello everyone, esp all the peeps from KC (too bad there's no football here...)

Divorced, with 2 kids, 18 year-old daughter and 17 year-old son. I've been T1 since February, 1970 and things have changed alot. My first meter was about the size of a brick and weighed about that much too...

Human insulins... I took a beef/pork mixture in years the before that came in '83 (?) and still cannot donate blood because I might have mad-cow disease from the beef/pork insulin.

It was finally proven that the long term benefits of tight control of blood sugars vastly outweighed the risks of hypoglycemia

Pumping is good!

Depression and diabetes are linked...

While diabetes is a part of my life, it doesn't control it, some folks wear it on their sleeve, start living life please, the rest of us want a chance to whine some too...

I'm sarcastic, cynical, don't take myself too seriously (neither do my kids, hmmmm), and I'll always tell you the truth, you may not like it, but hey, you asked

Hello Scott. Thank you so much for the list of helpful links. I haven't yet checked them all out, but will be doing so in the very near future. I have taken the liberty of sending you a friend request as I am brand new to the TuDiabetes website (I've been a fan on the FB page for quite some time, but JUST came to the webpage) and will be looking to "get to know" as many of you as I can! I am so pleased (and more than a little impressed) at the "open arms" policy this community seems to have. This wonderful experience of having several folks send me comments just to say "welcome" is incredible. this sure didn't happen on FB or MySpace, or Twitter or even on LinkedIn. You guys are awesome! I think I'm going to like this site VERY much, and i know already that it will be teeming with support, friendship & great ideas!

Thank you, Scott. Hope your weekend is stupendous!
