I too suffer from peripheral neuropathy that only occasionally responds to neurontin. A couple of years ago I was hospitalized for DKA and a subsequent heart attack. While there, I was hooked up to pneumatic sleeves that covered my lower legs - th...

Naysayers and Pessimists.

I'm a little disappointed by the naysayers and pessimists who poo poo the raw and natural foods diet for us type 2s. Perhaps if they tried it, they might find out how truly amazing the human body is at revitalizing itself when given what it needs. Sure, you can pick fault with just about anything, if you want to... that's your prerogative. I've found, through depression recovery training, that physical health and positive thinking go hand in hand in recovery from just about anything. Now,… Continue

Thank you Craig, for sharing your links with me. I will look and read through them. I'm still not through reading BloodSugar101 and I have a wonderful book I'm reading called "The Fungus Link to Diabetes" by Doug Kaufmann He has a TV show and his .com is knowthecause.com I found Doug K. a few months ago and boy did he open my eyes to a whole new world.

Thanks again,
Bobbie

I was just diagnosed in March of 2009 and take 500mg of Metformin a day. When I first agreed to take meds I gave myself one year to be off of meds. Is that crazy? That's my goal. I'm really trying to learn the things that I need to eat in order to maintain a healthy diet. I've lost 20lbs and I try to exercise atleast 4 days a week. What kinds of things (foodwise) helped you to get off of the Met?
