"Had a question. I use the accu-chek spirit combo. What black key? I put the chip in the back. I buy in bulk so the code is the same in every box. Not sure if you guys are talking about something else. Trying to get over changing the battery every…"
"I have not had any changes with sugar levels. I use it all the time. Keep any eye on your levels for 24 hours when you eat something new. Just make sure you watch the amount of card you give in a pump. It may need to start on the lower end."
"Sorry you are going through such a tough time. The disease does suck. But, there is a lot great things in your life that are going great for you. I would give anything to have the education that you have. I to have been a diabetic for 17 years.…"
"Without a doubt they will leave as little information as they need to. Sometimes doctors offices do the same unless you give the ok to leave information on the phone. Some companies will do that. Try to give your cell phone and tell them to use…"
"I will try theses batteries. I like to buy in bulk. I will see if Costco has that type. I use the regular Duracell. I can't get even close to 3 weeks. I had to change it yesterday. I am keeping record now. Way to fast."
"It is hard what about doing a temp rate. Don't forget if you excercise for an hour your body afterwards may eat up the scone with less insulin because your body is still being affected from the run. What are your A1C numbers. Sometimes If my…"
"Sorry to hear that. I have some stuff maybe it will help. But you may have used them too. Smith & nephew I.V. Wipes and Tegaderm film. Not even sure I am recommending the right things. Sorry. I wish there was an allergy pill to take to clear up…"
"So sorry for your loss. When things settle for you and you feel better things will all fall into place. Stay healthy and take care of yourself and feeling the loss is so healthy it allows you to realize what you had and what will be coming your way."
"What is the alternative. Make it a way of life not a chore. We are above ground and it is hard but we are here. We do live in a modern time where we do have a lot of great medical equipment to help make day to day stuff easier and groups to help us…"
"Hi mike I am starting the new acc-chek on Tuesday. I have had it for over a month. But with timing and alli had to schedule later. My nutritionist loves this new pump better then any of the machines out on the market. Medtronics is coming out with a…"
"I would call Dexcom . The problem with Dexcom now is they are slow to answer or to get back to you. If there was a trainer for the CGM I would contact them. I used both systems and i never had any blood. I probably will now. Good luck"
"It is really important to really look at the machine and take some different steps with the alarms. The alternative is never good. Your health and well being is the most important. I cut the high off and only left the low on. Double check that the…"
"Hi Andrea, I am also a die hard Deltec pump user. I was looking at the animas and the t-slim or the accu-chek. I heard a lot of great things about the accu-chek. My rep was not pushing animas because she felt that they were not that up to date. The…"
Hi, shari. I, too, love the Cozmo. I've been very happy with the Omnipod, but honestly, I think I would have been just as happy with the Animas. They're both wonderful pumps. I have had very few problems, good experience with their customer service, etc. I find I really like podding in certain spots of my body that I never used for infusion with tubing (like my back). The PDM is ultra-user friendly (like the Cozmo), too.
Since you're a Navigator user though, I strongly recommend the Omnipod. Not only do they take the same strips (regular Freestyle strips), but Navigator's planned updates over the next two years (and Omnipod's, too) hope to incorporate the two devices into a single receiver. If you had a Dexcom, I'd tell you that both Omnipod and Animas have planned updates to combine with the CGM, but Animas is Dex-only, whereas Omni is both.
