Hi Shoshana, I haven't bumped into very many doorknobs, and don't have any scars from those encounters. I don't know yet if my current injury will leave a scar. It's only skin deep, so I doubt it. I've been pumping for almost 18 years, and have had much better control with pumps than with shots. I'm planning to attend the Joslin meetings on May 10-11 and hope to meet you there.

My diabetes is doing very nicely, but I have a problem with an injury to my right arm. About 2 weeks ago I was riding my bicycle, crashed and tore the skin just below the elbow. It was protected by the sleeve of my jacket, so didn't get into the dirt, and hasn't gotten infected. But there's a big scab that is sometimes uncomfortable when the skin around it gets pulled.
I grew up in New Rochelle, not very far from where you live in Forest Hills. But that was a long time ago.

Hi Shoshana, I think we must post in different places here. I started a new discussion recently. There have been many replies. It is near the top of the list of discussions.

I am fine, and anxious to attend the Joslin medalist meeting in Boston on May 10 and 11.

How are you doing?
