I have a rare circadian rhythm disorder that has destroyed my metabolism. I am hoping to get on a pump soon, because it's so difficult for me to keep up with basal injections on a regular schedule. My doctor is very supportive for a pump but she doesn't prescribe them herself and I'm having a hard time finding a doctor in town who does.

Hi Sparrowrose: I am very glad that you have the appointment, and my opinion is that you insist on getting fast-acting insulin. Plus some good education in how to use it properly. A great book is "Using Insulin" by John Walsh; it might be available at your library. SO SO sorry, but I hope you are on the right track.

Hello and welcome. I was a type 2 who managed to get away from shots but was not vigilant as you and wound up back on pills. Way to go on being proactive and keeping an eye on things so that you may stay in remission for a long time.

Hi, my name is Becky, I have type II and just found out about 2 weeks ago. I am taking oral med. I was wondering if this is normal. When I wake up my BS usually is 117 approx. it gos up and down all day, the highest being 156. Is this how it is suppose to be, or should it always be under 100? Becky
