I have been full of empty promises - mostly to myself about posting more frequently and getting healthier! I have created a separate blog today called Is That a Beeper?
In that post I vow to post more frequently. Please feel free to check it out as I am determined to check in often.

Like so many diabetics over the years, I am currently struggling with getting the amount of test strips I need approved by my insurance company. I know, this is an old issue to most of you, and everyone's had to go through it; but today, I learned a little bit about the process for getting my test strips approved, and I must vent about it before I throw my diabetes meter across the room.
In trying to lower my A1C (and being a little paranoid about lows), I've been testing, on average,…

My parents, grandparents, and younger brother are coming to visit me in Boston this weekend. I'm so excited to see them. I haven't seen any of them since getting engaged a few weeks ago, so we haven't had a chance to celebrate yet.

Happy Birthday to you. I hope it is a great one for you
An update/follow up to that post...
I'm finally able to put the infusion set in my leg!! Wahoo!!
I thought it as an absorbtion issue but I was wrong!
Its an angle issue...
I was using Minimeds Silhouette, which goes in on a 45 degree angle, very shallow...so I tried the Quicket, which goes on on a 90 degree angle, and I haven't had any issues since.
I do still have WAAAAAY to much tubing but hey, I'll deal with that so long as I can put the site in my thigh! : )
