"As said before I agree 100% I wonder if Dexcom themselves are watching this forum, because alot of great ideas come from it. Especially the smartphone option, it would make "checking" your readings much much more discrete...."

"I would seriously hope that it would be sooner than 10 years. With the technology available there is absolutly no reason there is not a smaller option, I would pay a premium to have a smaller/thinner dexcom reciever even if it cut the battery life…"

what does everyone here do, and where are you guys from???

I have recently joind this fine forum and was excited to see it had a West Virginia diabetics sub forum. I am from the Bridgeport area, grew up in Jane Lew and build jet engines for Pratt Whitney. I have had type 1 diabetes 27 of the 30 years in my life so it is pretty much all I know. What treatments are you guys using? I am currently on MDI using Levemir/Humalog with a DEXCOM 7plus CGMS and maintain a 5.6 A1c. Also, what doctors do you guys reccomend, or reccomend to avoid. Sorry for all the…See More

Take a peek at some the groups when you get a chance. Just go to the top of your page, and click on "Groups". Once in, you can either peruse the wide array of available groups....or simply type a specific interest in the space provided. Take in some of the blogs/discussions as well.
