Brian (bsc) said… If you use a conservative guideline and get 50g of protein/day and only 60 g of carbs, then (each g of protein and carb is 4 calories) that is less than 500 calories/day. You still need another 1000-1500 calories that comes from fat. 9 calories per g of fat, that is 100-150 g fat. Hello olive oil.
ps. I eat a lot more protein, especially when training.
pps. Sorry don't have a suggestion on logging app, perhaps you should post a question.
Brian (bsc) said… I had a great time at the group meeting. It was just about the best we ever had. I don't really have a suggestion on the nutrition software. Tony used that CalorieKing app, but it was on the iphone. I think you want more of a logging app tho, something to record bp, bs and exercise. The CalorieKing just looks up nutrition info and doesn't even log food. I'll have to look into it.
