Need For Meters & Lancets

Can a 14 year old have neuropathy ?

First I have to tell you I am Tylers mom ,This is about neuropathy , diabetes is such a hard road to travel just to live even without the complications.

The question I have is Tyler is 14 . Yesterday he had 2 headaches & then about 8:30 PM he said his foot felt funny ,kinda felt like it was asleep then he said just weird, then he said numb . He said it felt that way up past his ankle . My question is can this happen to a 14 year old his last A1C was 7 ? Should I take him to his… Continue

Checking Drinks With BG Meter !

Have you ever went to the drive thru & tasted the drink & said is this diet , taste like it but your just not sure ?
Well today that happen to us ,so mom pulled out the meter stuck the test strip in it & it showed 70 , so I went in poured it out & got a diet for sure tested again & it was flashing LO.
Just thought we would tell you ,yall guys may already know this , but I thought it was very neat .

I checked my arm a couple of times & liked giving my finger a break . But one day my mom said check your finger & arm to see if there is any difference . Well there was ,my arm said I was 175, & my finger said 140 . So have anybody else had this problem ?
