Pssst.... pass it on!

I just wanted to stop by to see if you've done your Big Blue Test Today. Dont' forget that every time you log a Big Blue Test $5 is donated to diabetes charities that are providing life-saving supplies and services.

If you haven't yet, go log a Big Blue Test at http://www.bigbluetest.org/. If you have, do another!

First thing I noticed was that I was spiking an hour after eating, then back in range by 2 hours. Never knew about the peak! So... that's corrected. Yes, I'm much more interested in daily data than a1c, and I can see averages and SDs, def. more important to me.

Overnights... I went through a few days last week when I crashed to the 30s during the night. I'd slurp down a juice box (next to the bed) and go back to sleep. Then it stopped, just as suddenly. Then it started again LOL. So now I'm having a 5g cracker and some peanut butter before bed , the 70/80s show that it's working, for now anyway LOL

I've also started using TAG - pretty much staying under 120. I don't have it nailed yet by any means but it sure seems to work when I get it right.

Update on the dex. It's been totally awesome. I email reports (printed to Word) to my CDE weekly - the last comment I got was that everything looks great, not to change a thing. The dex has given me sooo much more info to work with. I've changed basal rates a tad a few times. The last 2 nights I've managed to flatline around 70/80!!

Let me know how you're doing, and check out the flatliners club. Great place for us OCD g33ks :)

Thanks for the friend add, T1Tech! Love your dog in the photo! he looks kind of like a greyhound or rhodesian ridgeback? I have a 10 year old mutt (looks like a baby german shepherd but we think maybe husky and shar pei? you never know with rescues!)

So far the dex software seems great! I actually don't have my training till Monday, but of course stuck it in the minute it came. How can I leave a new tech gadget in it's box??? So on Monday I'll show them the reports I have so far. What can they do, tell me I shouldn't have? LOL

Yes, zoos are good for BS lol. At one time we had 6 cats, a dog, an iguana, an assortment of snakes and other herps in my daughter's room - she's a herp lover!

Hey, welcome to Tu! We seem to have a lot in common - started on my Ping 4/1, I'm a dog person and have been called geeky (what a compliment!). Your furkid is beautiful. I have 3 Jack Russell Terriers; we compete in racing, etc.

Again - welcome!
