You may be too humble to add that you had also been hiking for 8 hours in the hail and freezing wind and uphill through a field of manure when this picture was taken.

I bet that would be very frustrating Kate. I'm sorry you had such a bad experience with it. I on the other hand, am having fantastic results with my MM722+CGMS. The more I read and see and hear, I really think a lot of it has to do with our indivi...

I hated my MM CGMS, it was never right, it would say I was 230 and I'd be 40something, it would say i was 40something and I'd be in the 200's. I even sat in my doctors office one day while the stupid thing was alarming and had them deal with it, t...

I gave up after 3 and a half weeks of spending hours on the phone with MM, getting awoken at night with false low alarms. The local rep stopped by my house to see if she could help with the problem. The problem is my interstitial fluid doesn't wor...

Guess I'm the lucky one. My MM722/CGMS has worked fantastic. For me, the key is to calibrate when I am stable. I do not calibrate all the time as some have mentioned. Minimum of twice daily. Extremely rare I ever see a "cal error". I can't even re...

Mine often fails to catch lows too - but not consistently, some sensors/placements do ok, others not so well. I've ended up, in the interim, setting my low alarm much higher than you would think, at 90, and then testing myself if it gets there to...

I always wondered whether it was as important to avoid lows as it is to avoid highs. It seems like erring on the side of low is the better choice.

Oh, but my doctor did write a letter of medical necessity to HPHC prior the approval. Perhaps you could request that from your Dr? It cannot hurt to try, right? I have heard great things about HPHC and their coverage for CGMS.

Hi!
I do not think that my HPHC plan is the independence plan. That term does not sound familiar to me. I am sorry ;o(
