Ruth, just saw your question about symlin in the pump. Don't know how long ago you posted it! I did try it in the second pump, and it worked fine. The very low basal required had no effect, and a "7u" bolus (if I remember right) worked fine with a meal.
But, i found having 2 pumps hanging off my belt to be a PITB, so I stopped. I might try it again, as I keep forgetting to carry those stupid pens with me.
Oh, but my doctor did write a letter of medical necessity to HPHC prior the approval. Perhaps you could request that from your Dr? It cannot hurt to try, right? I have heard great things about HPHC and their coverage for CGMS.
