Hey sweetie. Did you think about posting here for advice on your reaction to the injection site adhesive? I'd ask for help, but I don't know the brand name of the patches.

Hey Steff, yes we have chosen the cosmo and she loves it, we had trouble with the insertion sets so we use the MiniMed quick insertion with the cosmo pump, she finds it easier and less painful she says., so we are physched about the pump., it is everything we hoped for. We have had problems with the insertions kinking and not delivering insulin, which is a HUGE prob., but we have figured that out now. if she goes too high we know to change it immediately. We have run into probs. with our insurance company too though. I guess she is only allowed a certain number of supplies a month and when we use more they don't let us order more right away., What a joke, I realy don't understand thier policies, we told them that her diabetes isn't going to be on hold till we figure this out so we need our supplies..have you ever had probs with this? We end up buying stuff regularly now out of pocket. I see you are from Florida, it must be beautiful there right now, we travel with our kids to the water parks! Hope all is well with you and yours!

Love you, darlin'. I wish you'd been here to enjoy dinner tonight. If you liked the Salmon a L'Orange we made, you'd have loved the Spicy Citrus Tilapia. Sans the spice, anyway. I kept a few mild in hopes you'd make it.

Near Death Experience

So I had a scare Saturday the 3rd....

I woke up around 9am, checked my blood sugar, and it was around 180. I decided to read for a bit when I realized I was still tired so I went to take a nap.

The next thing I know, I was surrounded by 8 EMT's and a very scared boyfriend.

It seems Walker (my boyfriend) came over and when he came into my room, I acknowledged his presence and he came and curled up next to me. He didn't think anything at that point was wrong. (I don't remember him coming in at… Continue
