Whew, I made it through!
Whew! I made it through my first week of my weight loss journey. I am taking little steps to get healthier. My first goal was to cut out regular soda. I havent had a dr. pepper(or any other kind of regular soda) since Nov. 3rd. I know it may not sound like much to some people but I was pretty much addicted to soda. I have had a few diet sodas this past week but its not like I replaced the regular stuff with diet. I used to drink alot of soda and I think I have had like 4 or 5 diet sodas in…

As i sit here i just realized it was 8 years ago yesterday that Nicholas was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes. How does a healthy 3 year old with no family history end up with something that will possibly stay with him for the rest of his life? I say possibly because I hope that there is a cure around in his lifetime.
I absolutely hate when someone finds out about Nicks diabetes! Not because of the illness, because of how they feel they must say "Im so sorry". What the hell are you so…

Pluggin Myself
I was at the Blogger's Choice Awards this weekend. And in October when we couldn't see the number of votes for the top 3 blogger's in each category, Kerri Morrone was in the Top 3 for Best Health Blog for her blog Six Until Me. And like everything else that I have an opinion about, I have an opinion about her not ending up in the top 3 or possibly winning, she should've been there.Added by Courtney on November 12, 2007 at 3:54pm — 2 Comments

I started on my pump on Wednesday afternoon. I've been connected to this little guy ever since. He's lived in my pockets, on my waistband, and in my bra.
He's tried on clothes with me and seen me naked.
He's becoming less of a stranger and more of a mutual aquaintence. My friend Diabetes thought we might get along and fixed us up. I think he's well on his way to becoming a trusted friend and confidant.
Here are some of my first observations:
1. I've…
