I just got news that my A1C has continued its descent. A month and a half away from my 2nd Anniversary and my A1C has dropped to 5.8 down from 6.0 at my year and a half point. As a Disabled Veteran, I'm dealing with the continued progression of my military injuries and have most recently lost the use of my right foot and had surgery on my spine (Artificial Disc Replacement). I wanted to send a gigantic thanks for all of the responses and kind thoughts left after my first post. So much has happened over the last year, BUT the best of them all is that I now own my Diabetes. When Diagnosed in December 2010 my A1C was 15.4. By March 2010 it had dropped to 7.2 and 6.2 at my anniversary date in December. I've gone from not knowing what to finally sharing it with my family and being able to discuss it freely.
