Dear Doctor

On Thursday last i visited my own GP general practioner for th rsults of my last blood test, after waiting over 45 after my apointment was due I sat down and the doctor asked me how everything was, first mistake because in some ways I a slight hypercondriac sorry about hte spelling one thing all the drugs I take do not do is improve your spelling, one thing I have noticed when typing is speling some words incorrectly not spelling mistakes take the for instance lots of times I accidently type…

Fishing for an answer

After my visit ot hte doctor this morning I have to reduce my dosage of ramipril by 50% the doctor thinks this drug is causung my blood pressure to drop very low so low I keel over sometimes gettig up from a sitting postition, he is also concerened the blood tests indicate the drug is having an adverse reaction to my kidney/s nice to know.

As far as the diabetes is concerned he was very happy in fact it is the lowest it has been for over 2 years it is now 7.1 from 8.4 5 months…

Depression questionaire

You will have to forgime my spelling it has always held me back I was 15 before I could write my own name still got my mouth and that knows how to spell wanted to write since I can remember but the farthest or is it furthest I got was my blog tales of a black country lad on blogger, at least goog has a spell check about time tu got one as well not all of us can spell .

Depressed who ME

Having seen the diabetec doctor last week who took me through the results of the blood test taken the previous week and being given a pat on the back for getting my sugars down from 8.4 to 7.2 in 5 months and loosing half a stone I felt all geared up inside, was I seeing the light at hte end of the tunnel after years of being in the dark and to be honest lost sometimes.

Best news in years

I was dreading visitng the diabetec doctor for my 4 monthly checkup,my meter readings were giving me an average of 8.9 over this period and for some time the 6th of may to be precise my readings had been constantly above 9 or even higher, on the 6th of may I had steroid injections in both shoulders to try and ease the constant aching and pain it had got so bad I could no longer get in and out of the bath by myself this can be embarrasing to say the least.

Nasher and the Gang

Ok I know we should talk about diabetes how we feel what treatment we are getting the results of our blood sugar testing well I do all that and probably bore the pants off most of you, the trouble is you can soon get too focused on the negetive side of being diabetec or is it diabetic, take this morning blood reading 5.7 so I am over the moon it is the first time in over 2 weeks my morning reading has been below 7 so I celebrated with a cup of coffee, my first mistake of the…

Stand up straight for goodness sake

Today as been a bad day for doing anything I got out of bed at 6am stood up and went giddy very giddy have to watch how I sometimesI get up from a sitting position,sometimes I forget and feel like fainting, today was especially a bad one all day I had trouble moving about without toppling over and 18.5 stone you do not want to be in my path.

Blood sugar was 7.4 at 6am after dinner it was 11.6 it is so hard to get it stable during the day, had egg on toast for breakfast…

Knock me down with a Feather

There I have been worrying the victoza was not working then the diabetecnurse who weighed me this morning told me I had lost half a stone in fact she made me get on the scales a second time to verify the reading sure she thought I had one leg of the scales at the time, but there it is the first time in over 10 years I have managed to loose weight.

My blood sugar readings have not been so good rarely below 7 over the past 2 weeks in fact since I was given painkilling injections…
