After my visit ot hte doctor this morning I have to reduce my dosage of ramipril by 50% the doctor thinks this drug is causung my blood pressure to drop very low so low I keel over sometimes gettig up from a sitting postition, he is also concerened the blood tests indicate the drug is having an adverse reaction to my kidney/s nice to know.
As far as the diabetes is concerned he was very happy in fact it is the lowest it has been for over 2 years it is now 7.1 from 8.4 5 months…

Having seen the diabetec doctor last week who took me through the results of the blood test taken the previous week and being given a pat on the back for getting my sugars down from 8.4 to 7.2 in 5 months and loosing half a stone I felt all geared up inside, was I seeing the light at hte end of the tunnel after years of being in the dark and to be honest lost sometimes.

I was dreading visitng the diabetec doctor for my 4 monthly checkup,my meter readings were giving me an average of 8.9 over this period and for some time the 6th of may to be precise my readings had been constantly above 9 or even higher, on the 6th of may I had steroid injections in both shoulders to try and ease the constant aching and pain it had got so bad I could no longer get in and out of the bath by myself this can be embarrasing to say the least.

Today as been a bad day for doing anything I got out of bed at 6am stood up and went giddy very giddy have to watch how I sometimesI get up from a sitting position,sometimes I forget and feel like fainting, today was especially a bad one all day I had trouble moving about without toppling over and 18.5 stone you do not want to be in my path.

There I have been worrying the victoza was not working then the diabetecnurse who weighed me this morning told me I had lost half a stone in fact she made me get on the scales a second time to verify the reading sure she thought I had one leg of the scales at the time, but there it is the first time in over 10 years I have managed to loose weight.
