Post Teddy Bears Picnic



As you can see smudge is sleeping it off the teddy bears picnic really tuckered kids cats and bears out, never mind soon be back to normal.

Winter warmer

I have decided to try my hand at making a lamb casserole something to warm both of us on this cold day, it was bitterly cold as I waived goodbye to her this morning at 7am the car windows were a bit iced up and it took a few minutes to defrost them.



First sort out the casserole pot ok found that, boil a kettle ok done that put half bag of Asda freshly frozen casserole mix in to the pot ok done that plug the pot on set a high open a bag of Asda diced casserole lamb put the cooker on… Continue

Teddy bears Picnic

Living room sorted for Jessica and Daniels teddy bear picnic Jacob is only 2 weeks old so perhaps next year we can do it again, sheila and I have put out 70 bears of all sizes and descriptions all hungry little bears, table laid picnic hamper includes fresh strawberries and Dream topping ham sandwiches cut into triangles ,little pots of salad including cucumber and tomatoes which they both love, jellies Babybel light cheeses individual small hamburgers and hot dogs lots of food for hungry… Continue

Still hanging in there

The trouble with thinking you have got over the cold/flu is you get a false sense of security waking up feeling great for the first time in a couple of weeks just goes to show how wrong you can be, I woke up at 5am let the cat out made a cup of tea checked my emails 92 spam sat down read my magazine my son gave me last night and totally forgot the past 2 weeks of not being able to get out of bed.

On the mend

Woke up this morning feeling better than I have in over a week, the antibiotics have kicked in I still have a cough but not the pain and soreness in my chest when I cough, on the other hand it might be the inhaler I was given that is helping me breath more easily who knows who cares something is working.



Cat sat on the back door step for half an hour atching the rain pour down finally deciding she could not wait anymore she went out gave me a meow as if to say get a cat litter box… Continue

Day 9 0f the dreaded lurgee

My cold/flu is still hanging about had to visit the doctors yesterday as I was having difficulty breathing without some discomfort, the doctor examined me and issed antibiotics amoxicillian and an inhaler to help free some of the gunk form my lungs.



Still trying to work out how the inhaler works the chemist should show you I am crap with instructions, sniverling a bit but headache going get dizzy when I cough so make sure I am sitting down before I fall down.

Lurgee still lingering

Another restless night can still feel the cold in my nose itching and sometimes running, bit of a sore throat chest been playing up all night having to sit up in bed to try to sleep a lot of wheezzzzzing as I try to breath.



Fingers crossed the water tablets I take as medication help relieve any water on my lungs apart from feling awful everything is ok, not much you can take when you are diabetic with a heart problem if no better by Monday have to see the doctor, pair of sun glasses… Continue

Would you believe it

9.01am

Dear tud



Rain stopped for a while bit of a storm during the night, dog barking in someone's garden cat sleeping on the radiator shelf, at least I can sit up this morning although the cold/flu is still firmly in my system there seems to be a bit of a lull in it's activity am I tempting fate for yesterday was not a good day sweated buckets tossed and turned all day in bed could not get comfortable at all.



Now and then I would nod off and have 40 winks only waking… Continue

18.19pm Burning up, body on full defence mode

Thanks for giving it to me

It came on so sudden started sneezing a lot within hoursI was to weak to climb the stairs to bed it was not until the wife came home from work that she managed to get me into bed, that was 2 days ago headaches joint ache tummy ache sweating sneeeeeeezing a lot and generally feeling like death warmed up.



Went to the doctors last friday to have thr dressing changed on my big toe, there were folks there sneezing there heads off so I guess I could… Continue

7.21 Saturday morning

Had to let the cat outside at 3.20am this morning no wonder I am techy sometimes not very often I get a good nights sleep have been thinking about putting a cat flap in the back door so smudge can come and go as she pleases.



Last night we visited our son and daughter in laws house in I ronbridge and spent a couple of nice hours bonding with baby Emily who is already saying mom dad at 10 moths old she is alstrying to walk she can stand up on her own and push her cart full of building… Continue

Thursday moan and groan

Feeling sorry for myself 7.48am

You wake up some mornings take a quick look out of the bedroom window and wish you could stay there until the summer arrives, Shropshire is wonderful in the winter but getting older means I feel the cold more, as a teenager I would walk 5-10 miles each day with hardly a thing on well shirt trousers shoes but not like today I have to wrap up warm just to get the cat in.

Swine Flu Jab

After weeks of worrying about do I have the swine flu jab or not my daughter and I visited the doctors surgery yesterday and had our flu jabs both being diabetic and having other unerlying things, my arm ached for 6 hours but seems to have settled down now no swelling no pain is that a good sign or not you here a lot of tales about the injection.

New arrival

On this occassion I missed the stork by 15 minutes by the time nan and I got to the hospital baby Jacob had arrived according to the midwife he did not hang about and came out like a bullet, so when we got to see him mom was holding him as moms do, kissing him on the head and talking to him.

The water margin

Woke up this morning to a bit of a storm the rain pounding on our bedroom window kinda gave me the idea it was raining a lot, I struggled out of bed put my slippers on stepped over the cat who was spead out legs in the air under the central heating radiator she knows a hot spot when she feels one.

A box full of surpises
