I have had type 1.5 diabetes for 3 years. It took me a year to learn to live with it and now just diagnosed with hashimoto. I'm so frustrated and angry. Please tell me your experience and what med's are best to start with for the hashimoto?

June 11, 2010 was my 1 year anniversary with Type 1.5 diabetes. Let me tell you it sure has been a roller coaster ride. And boy am I glad 2009 is over. First I was laid off in February (on my birthday) and then in June find out I have diabetes. What a year. Anyways I have been fighting my medical insurance on approving a pump for me. Does anyone take this? What have been your side effects? What does are you taking?

Are any of you on ACE inhibitors? If so which one and how have you reacted to it. Anyone know if we have to be on them which one causes less side effects short term and long term.

I was diagnosed as Type 2 and because I was thin my endo had doubts. I was put on metformin and did well on it but lost too much weight. My endo then did more tests and found out out that I was LADA, Type 1.5. They just started me on insulin and I'm a little concerned. They gave me Levemir 10units before breakfast. And then Novolog as below

I need all your help. I was diagnosed as a Type 2 diabetic 6 weeks ago. I have gone from 116pds. to 102pds. in this time. My endo has instructed that I need to eat more to gain weight. I cannot seem to figure out what to eat and at what times to help me gain weight back. Any suggestions for all of you will greatly help. I am on metformin twice a day 500mg. I really need to gain some weight back but am finding it very difficult.

I have been very depressed since my diagnosis. Enough so that I can't seem to get out of this myself. I think I need help with meds. I have taken Paxil years before for post pardum depression. What is the best anti depressant if you are diabetic?
