Endo Yesterdayy. :D

My appointment went gooddd yesterday. I'm 5"8 YESS! and i dropped like 6 pounds, which is awesomeee :D My control has been waaay better on shots. And i got my blood drawn for my dreaded A1c, but hopefully it'll be good. So at my endo's, when you take too many shots in the same place and the skin starts to get tough, we get a STOP sign stamp. The first time you get the stamp in the place where youve given yourself to many shots, the second time you get the stamp plus get it colored in with red… Continue

Back to shots? :/ Tired of it.

I'm thinking about going back on shots for awhile.. :\ When i went to camp, i took a break from my pump. While both options have their pro's and con's i dont know if i should take a break, but not for too long. My mom thinks that i wont keep my log book and that i'll forget to take my shots, and my control will get even worse. Which bugs me, because she acts like i didnt do it before for about 8 months. She thinks that just because my sugars have been worse for the past almost year, which is… Continue

Dream Night!

I get to work this event tonight at the zoo called "Dream Night" And its where kids with terminal illnesses come to the zoo after hours and get to do cool activities, play with guinea pigs, and go kinda behind the scenes at the zoo. They also get everything free, which is pretty sweet. I'm so stoked! I love little kids, and these kids are so brave and strong. :D Continue

New Siteee;

I just put a new site in my arm, and it really hurts! Its about the first one that actually adhered to my skin in about 2 weeks, and i didnt have to use a IV-Hand. I started working out for volleyball a week ago, and my arms have been killing me. I'm afraid this one went right into my muscle, if thats possible. Or into sensitive tissue. Cause it hurttsss! xD (end of complaining) Continue

Floor tickets+Pump=Cranky Diabetic

So May 8th, i went to go see Fall Out Boy, Cobra Starship, Metro Station, All Time Low, and Hey Monday with a friend. We had floor tickets (IT WAS SWEETTT) and i was reallyy nervous about my pump. I had a bad experience with mosh pits last summer at warped tour, where i got sucked in and lost my shoe, which caused me to walk around on the hot black top of Comerica Park in just my socks. Anyways, i despise mosh pits. Don't like them oneee bit. So my friends told me this concert wouldn't be the ty… Continue

I was pretty suprised, because i thought i would have gained weight since ive been snacking alot, and having less of balanced meals. So, my dietition recomended that i start to use some instant breakfast stuff, like that has calcium and stuff? Oh well, its not like im trying to lose the weight. I also… Continue

Back From Camp!

I got back from My Diabetes Connection Camp yesterday! It wasnt as fun as it was last year, but it was nice. I think it was mostly because my two bestfriends from last year couldnt come, but I made new friends this year. We went mountain biking, it was amazing! The scenery was beautiful, but we couldnt really enjoy as much as we wanted to, because we had to make sure we didnt fall off the mountain side! As soon as we started biking, it started to pour rain for atleast 15 minutes straight. That m… Continue

Sports&Pumps.

So my softball season ened yesterday, Im kind of happy actually. :) Our team wasnt all that good and the coaches werent the best. Overall it just wasnt as much fun as it used to be. I dont think ive ever had any real problems with diabetes and sports. Ive played Softball, Cross Country, and Track since being diagnosed. During XC what i would do is eat, and not cover for 45 carbs of my meal. For track and softball i had my pump, and the only time in track i had been low during a meet was right be… Continue
