Haven't been on in the longest time... Looking back at

These blog posts sure do make me kind of giggle!

Well a lot of things have changed in the time I've been off.

I am a senior this year, and I'm pretty sure I've got the next 4 years of my

Life planned out going into early childhood education at the university

Of Dayton (hopefully!) I'm sooo sooo excited to go. :)

Well I'm on my iPod right now so it's kind of hard to type too much...

Hopefully I'll get on… Continue

Hey everyone, I'm back. :)

So i've realized i never get on anymore.. Darn you facebook! Haha.

This summer has been an amazing one so far, thats for sure! I've done three weeks of helping out at summer camps at the Zoo with five and six year olds, they make my life complete! It makes me think what i really want to do when i grow up (aka in two years) which is go to nursing school and eventually become a pediatric nurse practitioner, or teach first grade. Hmm. :( I've been struggling a lot with it lately because…

Bullied to High Blood Sugar :(

So i thought this girl was my friend..

And she ended up being the cause of random high blood sugars at lunch everyday.

She was the friend of my best friend, and i thought we were gonna be good friends too. Apparently not.. She said mean things about me behind my back, then acted all nice to my face.

She said i had thunder thighs, called me chubby, made a comment on like everything i wore (sweatshirts, shoes) AND made the comment "Do they think their cool?" when me and my… Continue

Endo Yesterdayy. :D

My appointment went gooddd yesterday.

I'm 5"8 YESS! and i dropped like 6 pounds, which is awesomeee :D

My control has been waaay better on shots. And i got my blood drawn for my dreaded A1c, but hopefully it'll be good.

So at my endo's, when you take too many shots in the same place and the skin starts to get tough, we get a STOP sign stamp. The first time you get the stamp in the place where youve given yourself to many shots, the second time you get the stamp plus… Continue

Back to shots? :/ Tired of it.

I'm thinking about going back on shots for awhile.. :\

When i went to camp, i took a break from my pump. While both options have their pro's and con's i dont know if i should take a break, but not for too long.

My mom thinks that i wont keep my log book and that i'll forget to take my shots, and my control will get even worse. Which bugs me, because she acts like i didnt do it before for about 8 months.

She thinks that just because my sugars have been worse for… Continue

Dream Night!

I get to work this event tonight at the zoo called "Dream Night"
And its where kids with terminal illnesses come to the zoo after hours and get to do cool activities, play with guinea pigs, and go kinda behind the scenes at the zoo.
They also get everything free, which is pretty sweet.
I'm so stoked! I love little kids, and these kids are so brave and strong. :D

New Siteee;

I just put a new site in my arm,
and it really hurts!
Its about the first one that actually adhered to my skin in about 2 weeks, and i didnt have to use a IV-Hand.
I started working out for volleyball a week ago, and my arms have been killing me.
I'm afraid this one went right into my muscle, if thats possible. Or into sensitive tissue.
Cause it hurttsss!
(end of complaining)

Floor tickets+Pump=Cranky Diabetic

So May 8th, i went to go see Fall Out Boy, Cobra Starship, Metro Station, All Time Low, and Hey Monday with a friend.

We had floor tickets (IT WAS SWEETTT) and i was reallyy nervous about my pump.

I had a bad experience with mosh pits last summer at warped tour, where i got sucked in and lost my shoe, which caused me to walk around on the hot black top of Comerica Park in just my socks.

Anyways, i despise mosh pits. Don't like them oneee bit.

So my friends told me this… Continue

Carnation Instant Breakfast?

So, as i said before, my doctor wanted me to start using the instant breakfast stuff for the protein and calcium.

Anyways, my mom bought me some last week finally. (;

Its pretty good, actually.

All i have to do is add the stuff to a glass of milk, and stir.

Its like an individual package per serving, and they come in Rick Milk Chocolate, Classic French Vanilla, Classic Chocolate Malt, Strawberry Sensation, and Dark Chocolate.

Doctors Appointment was today :)

Today was my 3 month doctors appointment, and it went very well!

I havent grown much in height wise, still at 5"6 1/2 :)

Although, when they weighed me, i guess i lost 5 pounds since my last visit. I was pretty suprised, because i thought i would have gained weight since ive been snacking alot, and having less of balanced meals. So, my dietition recomended that i start to use some instant breakfast stuff, like that has calcium and stuff?

Oh well, its not like im trying to lose… Continue

Back From Camp!

I got back from My Diabetes Connection Camp yesterday! It wasnt as fun as it was last year, but it was nice. I think it was mostly because my two bestfriends from last year couldnt come, but I made new friends this year.

We went mountain biking, it was amazing! The scenery was beautiful, but we couldnt really enjoy as much as we wanted to, because we had to make sure we didnt fall off the mountain side! As soon as we started biking, it started to pour rain for atleast 15 minutes straight.… Continue
