I just learned last Tuesday that I was being laid off from my job as a pastor. My heart is breaking, and I don't have a clue what we're going to do or where we're going to go. They gave me a half-way decent severence package, which includes insurance through the end of September. My Insulin costs nearly 1300 dollars for a 90 day supply. What if I don't have a job and insurance within 60 days? I have high blood pressure, an enlarged prostate, Hepatitis C, and sleep apnea. How in the world will I… Continue
I've been staying away from TuDiabetes for the last 3 or 4 weeks. You see, I've sort of been on a binge, and I feel like a hypocrite. I was the one trying to encourage everyone and suddenly I found myself standing on the edge of the precipice wondering if maybe I should just step off. I have been retaining water for quite some time which shows up in the swelling of my feet and lower legs. What's really weird is my left leg is worse than my right leg, much worse. They also did a test that deteremined that I have a condition called Microalbuminuria. It is the presence of protein which is normally found in the blood and filtered by the kidneys, which means my kidneys are damaged… Continue
