Is Your Diabetes That Bad?

I went to dinner at a friend's house last night and there was a guest that had knowledge of diabetes (it ran rampant in his family, type 2 i believe though) and he asked me

Is Your Diabetes That Bad?

when he saw my insulin pump. I find it interesting that people will link the insulin pump to a severe case of diabetes...

15 Things to Be Thankful for

I'm trying to turn my attitude around where my diabetes is concerned and so this year, I've started myself a new tradition, every thanksgiving I'm going to make a list of things I'm thankful for in terms of my diabetes. The list has to be as long as the number of years that I've been a diabetic.

Here's this years:

When Will It Stop Being An Excuse

The movie August Rush struck a chord with me, I sat there watching the movie, crying. The result of that, a rather intense blog entry, but then again, when are my blog entries not intense...

I am Blessed

It's a bit more positive than some of the entries I've been making lately.

Be careful what you ask for...

don't ask me why, but I managed to have my NingID deactivated, as in, I asked to have my NingID deactivated, as a result of that request, I can now not log into my tudiabetes.com/profile/courtney account. It's dead, in it's infancy, it's dead. There to look at but not available for me to respond to anything, it's pathetic...

As a result, I'm moving everything over here so that I have it all in one place.

Pluggin Myself

I was at the Blogger's Choice Awards this weekend. And in October when we couldn't see the number of votes for the top 3 blogger's in each category, Kerri Morrone was in the Top 3 for Best Health Blog for her blog Six Until Me. And like everything else that I have an opinion about, I have an o… Continue

Big Dreams Gone...Just Gone

Every person that gets diabetes has dreams, some of them get crushed on. I've found ways to reach many of my dreams but there is one dream that will never be.

Wins and Losses in the Battles of Diabetes

I've just finished with day three of NaNoWriMo. Today's writing proved to be harder than the last 2 days. I thought after having diabetes I would have 50,000 words to write about it...after today I'm not so sure...things are starting to get muddled in my head and digging up all that I buried is proving to be a painful experience, hence why it was buried in the first place...

Dear Dead Worthless Pancreas

I've just finished with day two of NaNoWriMo. Today's writing, a letter to that worthless organ that is the cause of all our pain.

And you know, as I was pushing the publish button, I realize there's still so much I need to say to it...more for another day I suppose...

Smuggling Halloween Candy

Yes candy smuggling...it's quite a story (one many of us are probably familiar with), and one that I'm not going to post here, but I figured I'd post the link to my diabetes blog where I do regularly write:

The Candy Smuggler

Since I'm participating in NaNoWriMo and NaBloPoMo and both are going to be about diabetes, I'll go ahead and make updates here daily du
