We COME TOGETHER by World Diabetes Day! “If each person helps another person, the world will change”

Dear TuDiabetes Friends

I come to you for help! I believe, it is crucial that our community comes together and take ownership of the wonderful opportunity of doing something really BIG: As you might know, We have less than 14 days to reach our 20000 Big Blue Test entries in order to raise $100,000 for people with diabetes in need. BECAUSE OF THE NOV. 14th DEADLINE, we need to act fast!

I also want to present to you the video we did for the Big Blue Test grantee in Haiti.…

bye, bye books

Today I am deep-cleaning my studio, our studio… not my art studio, but the one with the computer and books.

I decided to go over my books and select the ones I don’t really use anymore… I have done this so many times in the past, usually I find an excuse to keep most of them.

The strangest thing happened today when I opened my architecture and Interior Design books… They mean so much to me… so many years, so much passion on those books. Yet, Today I finally felt it was… Continue

"Año Nuevo, Vida Nueva..."

New Year, New Life...

I am glad to be finally back! :)

Today I am writing from our new house in Palo Alto, as you may know we moved from

Orlando during the holiday, and still re-organizing everything in my

house and life. One thing I know, a range of new opportunities are open

for me right now (I just need to know what and where they are, ha)...

it is very exiting and scary I guess... however, yesterday we got our

stuff from the moving truck… Continue

grieving

my grandma died this morning. I feel so sad, so isolated... I have the strangest sensation that I could just evaporate if I tried(or knew how) , and "fly" from here: in front of a computer and $ 2000 and 1 later day away to her service in Merida, my home city in Venezuela.

How can that be? my body feels soulless... I hope my mind could join my soul where it is... Al least I hope my dear family, (dad, mom, brother and sisters, cousins, aunts and uncles) can realize my soul is actually… Continue

About Banner Customzation

I wanted to let you know that I have been working on a solution to the banner. Last night I was proudly ready to install wat I thought was a great idea... but it did not work. :(

Manuel and I, are going to try contacting Ning for support. We will keep on trying until we find something that works better, that allows everybody to customize their pages freely while being part of tudiabetes!

Please bear with us ;)

We are learning a lot in the run of how the code works for… Continue

TU DIABETES inpact on me! :)

The things I have learned for TU DIABETES so far...

Honestly, at the very beginning of this project, I was a bit hesitant

to encourage Manuel to work even more than he already does… The reason: sometimes

it just gets hard for us to have some healtly balance in our lives. We

simply run out of time, at the end of the day, we end up giving up

important things for ourselves: like exercising, relax, or have some

quality time as a family. However, in…

tu diabetes.com LOGO & BANNER DOWNLOADS PROMISE

I was talking with Manuel (Manny H.) about the possibilities of offering some customized banners and logos downloads so you all will be able to customize your pages while showing that you are part of the community. (if you want, of course)

We still need to sit down and decide how are we going to do it, but I wanted to let you know that we acknowledge your comments. We understand the importance of freedom and the need for identity in a social community. We'll come up with something as… Continue

My TU DIABETES Imagery Collection

I was thinking about uploading some photos to our community to share a little more me and my family with you, but then I though, Humm... Manuel is already doing some of that... then I thought maybe I can bring some of the pictures of my painting to share with you, but, I already have a link in my page and you can visit my gallery anytime at www.andreinadavila.com... so I had an idea that may actually bring lots of information to you:

I will build a COLLECTION of diabetes related… Continue
