How great was it to get to finally meet some of you! Manny what a pleasure and Landileigh, so glad I got the opportunity to come on out and meet people in person.
My experience in California was a nice one, minus a few hiccups here and there, but you know you'll have that. My banner stand broke in transit to Cali and my shuttle from the airport forced me to pay again...geez. Here's my advice Super Shuttle... terrible service, terrible customer service and well... just do go there! :) B

You know whenever you think of when you accomplished something really tough or you made it through a situation that you just didn't think you could have, there usually has been someone or people behind you helping you, pushing you or just supporting you with encouragement, positivity and blessings.
That is what Tudiabetes has been for me. From my initial diagnosis to the last days of 2007, this unique community has been such a blessing for me and I just wanted to thank each of you who

I've got an idea for people who are designers, artists, entrepreneurs, or just creative that happen to have diabetes. The idea is to start a blog/marketplace type website that showcases the talented works and ideas for this select group for the world to enjoy.
The purpose would be to provide a creative/business outlet for people with diabetes while increasing awareness about the disease and giving back to associations and organizations that the contributors believe in.
The reaso

So this week is launch week officially for the glucose meter bags and my website. Although I'm having a professional web designer re-do my website in the next 3 weeks, our bags are ready for purchase. *woo hoo*
It's so exciting, and we've got many tudiabetes members to thank. If you haven't already take a stroll on over to Stick Me Designs, and pick out the bag you like best.
We also have a special section just for tudiabetes members and f

So ok I'm new to this whole idea of running a successful retail company and I'm running into the next section of figuring how much to sell my glucose meter bags for. It's a tough question that takes into account a lot of factors. So once again I turn to my trusty pals at TuDiabetes.
After reviewing the newest collection please share your thoughts on the bag and how much you believe is a fair retail price. The bags are treated with a stain-repellent, have 4 inside pockets for wipes, cre

Because I've gotten so much support from the wonderful folks here on TD, I thought I'd share with you my goals for my company Stick Me Designs. I'm going to try and spread the word through my online communities and through my blogging friends. From what I've gotten from other people is that this is the best way to get natural advertising. Rather than going the expensive and sometimes not effective route of advertising, I'm going to try to spread the word through other means.
So I'd lik

When I was told I had GD and that 6 out of 10 ladies with it will get T2, I was sad, mad, angry and had the 'why me' notion. I started thinking 'me???', I have diabetes??? I mean 'me????' Denial crept in and took a seat then depression sat down beside him. I panicked thinking I would never taste the sweetness of a gummi bear again, I had no idea about the disease so I was completely ignorant to the do's, don'ts and proceed with cautions.
Soon with the support of my family and my friend

That's a very good question. Let's see we're still designing hang tags, logo lables, logo, website and another billion things. Not to mention caring for Ace my newborn, Wolfe my two year old, attempting to be an attentive wife to Rich, and trying to decide if I want to keep my part time j-o-b. It's a lot to deal with, but I'm enjoying mostly every minute :)
Our production should begin within a couple of weeks on our first introductory collection for our stylish glucose meter bags, and

Until my professional samples are done, I've uploaded a few pictures of my other 'prototypes' on my website. For now the website is just a home page, but will be completed in the next few months. In the meantime you can view the new versions, and send emails to me with any suggestions, or feedback you may have as this will help immensely with final designs. Thanks so much again.

So I've taken the advice of a fellow tu diabetes member and now I've just sent my rough prototype to a company willing to not only assist me with a sample, but they're willing to add a few to their website and see how the market accepts them!!! WHAT??????? I cannot believe it.
I'm so stoked, I just want to thank all of you for your feedback, your input and advice, it has all been taken into consideration and noted. I've got ideas for the initial collection that will possibly include a

Excuse me for a minute I'm sooo psyched!!! Today I've finished 1 of 4 tries at a more stylish, fun glucose meter bag, and today I've completed a somewhat prototype!!!
It's soft buttery leather, and cute polkas inside. Once I get a completely functioning bag, I'll move to the next phase of getting some professional samples created...I'm completely geekin' here but this is a big deal because I'm really not a sewer, and to make my own stylish glucose meter bag is just well.....phenomulous
