Do your numbers change when you go on vacation or go somewhere?

When I leave town to take a small trip once and awhile my numbers change even though my diet is the same? Does this happen to you?

I need higher basal rates when I am in the car for more than an hour or so.... likewise if I am out being super active like hiking all day, I'll need much less, but these are changes I'd anticipate at home too.

It's strange, I went to Tahoe last week and my number were high...now back to SF and things are excellent...can't figure it? I go to Tahoe all the time and never really had any issues, my diet was the same, my workout was the same...but if I had a few carbs....whoa..over 200! Now I'm back at sea level and I have a few carbs...maybe go to 120 or so...I'm confused!

The altitude has always effected my BS in weird ways too. I require more insulin when I am in Tahoe eventhough im more active snowboarding all day.
