I'm high.
Today is going to be a little painful. Nonetheless, I'm going to go at head on, study, work, see my friends and eat very well and workout as much as possible, oh and sleep if I get the chance, lol.
I got some bad news two weeks ago and it just really put me in a slump for awhile. I cried for a whole week because I didn't get into my dream school UCLA to study engineering :(. But like everyone says maybe there is something else in store for me. Tomorrow is a new day and month and I want it to be A LOT better than this past month...
Lets see if I can bring this BG down
7am- 565mg/dl
10units and 30min walk around the block
8:30am 416mg/dL
I am not ashamed to post these awful numbers because I know I will do better today and I will bring the numbers down!I can already start feeling it coming down :)

Comment by Bradford on April 30, 2012 at 9:21am I agree that the number is just a number. Try to understand it and move on, but don't dwell on it. Good luck w/ getting the numbers back down in check! Hope your day gets better and get some rest too!
Comment by boshra on April 30, 2012 at 12:05pm Thank you Bradford!
Slept like a baby for 1.5hrs.
woke up 11:30am 280mg/dL
Comment by Pastelpainter on April 30, 2012 at 1:33pm Not all engineers go to UCLA, there must be other schools. Good luck with the numbers and getting into another school.
Comment by boshra on April 30, 2012 at 2:29pm Thank you! I know, its just been my dream school since 9th grade... But I will get over it soon :)
2:30pm 177mg/dL, finally under 200!
Comment by boshra on April 30, 2012 at 4:06pm 4:00pm 143mg/dL
Comment by acidrock23 on April 30, 2012 at 4:09pm Whew! You'll be *there* soon!
Sorry to hear about the school but I know a lot of people who switched out of engineering (University of Illinois, birthplace of the transistor!) and have done a lot of other interesting things. One is a psychiatrist who lives in New Zealand now and another one is an astronomer who studies lightning on Venus at the VLA in New Mexico.
Comment by marty1492 on April 30, 2012 at 5:49pm Hi Boshra,
Sorry about UCLA. I really sympathize! I didn't get into the school I wanted to go to either (years ago). Wishing you the best in pursuing alternate plans!
And congratulations on getting you numbers down!
Best wishes,
