WOW...Stupid Insurance!
I'm so frustrated...I'm denied insurance because I'm on insulin...REALLY?! So, I had insurance through my husbands work but they no longer offer it so I'm trying to get covered somewhere else. Now I'm just screwed!!! Sorry, I just had to vent!

It really is a bad situation. I hope you can find some affordable insurance coverage.
It often seems to me like the insurance companies would rather go back to the days before insulin, so that all the type 1 diabetics would just go away after about a one or two. The insurance companies like their customers to be young people with no health problems.

A lady by the pool told me this yrs ago. When you start with a new insurance company you need to go to a new MD. Tell him/her you have no health problems. Have them "conveniently" diagnose diabetes shortly after insurance kicks in...then it won't be a pre-existing condition and you'll be covered. Seems extreme and disceitful...but works. My acting sucks so I can't pull it off.
