TuDiabetes - A Community for People Touched by Diabetes

I'm now back at school. I've been back for a little over a week. Last weekend I went to my friends cottage and right in the middle of the weekend I got a message from my mom saying that my doctor's office had called about my blood work that I had gotten done a couple days before. My mom knowing not a whole lot about diabetes just told me two numbers that they had said. One was 14.1 and one was 0.716 or something of the sort. So i assume 14.1 is A1C and the other keytones? The message said that I should go to emergency but after talking to the secretary on Monday it was a new girl that had left the message and my doctor being away, had told her to give me the numbers and I would know what to do...

here is what I don't understand. MY A1C is 14.1?!? For about 2 weeks my numbers were pretty high staying in the 10-20 range. I was almost doubling all of my insulin levels. I didn't feel sick but obviously something wasn't right. As soon as I got back to school though (literally) my numbers evened out. So I'm thinking maybe stress? Even though I didn't really feel stressed?! Also for the past 3 months I've been testing like crazy and my numbers haven't been all that bad. Nothing to have my A1C at 14.1. Thats almost my A1C at diagnosis.....which doesn't make sense...so confused
