TuDiabetes - A Community for People Touched by Diabetes

hi all,
i had my doctor's appt today and got my A1C back. i thought i was doing really good about bringing down my a1c, but boy did i fool myself. instead of under the 6.5 of last time it was 6.6. i know that's not much but i really thought i had done better this time. guess that's what i get for thinking. oh well, back to the drawing board.

The same thing happened to me a year ago, debb. Last May it dropped nicely, though. But I keep wanting to ask all the old timers here how they cope with the ups and downs of the A1c over a long period. I mean, mine could go back up next time and it would be really depressing. But obviously our friends here deal with it year after year!

Anyway, I truly empathize.....

We talked about this the other night, I can be sure that mine is probably worse than yours......not doing exactly what I am supposed to be doing. That is good, and don't get down cuz it's not as low as you thought. You will get there.
