TuDiabetes - A Community for People Touched by Diabetes

Viewing the interview in Channel 22 Los Angeles where Jose Ronstadt interviews Dr. Cesar Rey, I was amazed by some of the statistics.

According to Dr. Rey the statistics place Diabetes as the disease that is growing at the fastest rate in the US.

Every year 800,000 people is diagnosed in the US; 1 million in Canada; and 2 million in India. That's almost 4 million people in just those three countries. It's like a new country with only diabetics is born every year. Unbelievable.

Anyhow, I know I'm "preaching to the choir" here, but it just highlights how much work we have ahead of us in growing this community to really make an impact in society and lower those numbers.

I have to get back to work then...
