USING TWO TYPES OF INSULIN
I know that I may need to add another type of insulin to gain control of my after meal #'s. I have been researching Humalog and think that this may be the one to talk to my doctor about. Right now I'm on Lantus and Glucotrol XL. Can Lantus be used with Humalog?

Lantus and humalog are a really common combination. Just be sure not to put them in the same syringe. Lantus has a special pH and can't be combined in a syringe with other insulins.

I didn't know that but it won't happen because my Lantus in a pen and that would be the way I would take the Humalog. Thanks for your input.
