I just want to say thank you to everyone that left extremely kind messages. I have made a decision to go ahead with pumping on 16 Jan. I had previously decided to start pumping with insulin but have now realised that saline may be best for the first week. You are right, my dad would not have wanted me to delay it after waiting so long. My mum is Type 1 too and not particularly knowledgeable about diabetes so I guess that the more I learn about it, the better I will be able to help her care for hers too. Thanks again.

Go for it girl! Saline first sounds like a very good idea.
