So I called my doc to get my latest test results. Everything was good and again my A1C is 5.8. I also asked for my previous visits cholestrol results. They were good too. A total of 170, with 77 HDL, 70 LDL, and 113 tri. I wonder why I have to ask for my cholestrol numbers? I hate to admit I have not known them for over a year because my doc never includes them in my test results message.

Erin---I believe it is Idiot Thinking and no two systems are the same. I can go online in a matter of hours after a visit to the damn lab and get every # from full lipid panel to A1c. But NOT my fasting glucose # which since I have the Dawn Phenomenon to deal with is almost meaningless, but which sometimes is emotionally my most satisfying #. Last time, for instance, I had few changes though I had hoped for some betterment, but a month later when my Doc finally got around to mailing me the #s, there was the lowest fasting # I ever had--it made me feel better and could have done so a lot sooner. I'm with Kaiser, but it does sound like every system, maybe every damn Doc does it differently! Very frustrating. They need to ask US, don't you think?!..... Be well.....
