When Manny told me to check out the home page of Tu Diabetes regarding my song I had NO CLUE what he did.

Seeing my face on the home page like that still freaks me out. My reaction was busting into laughter. I clicked on the link and started reading all the comments.

Then the tears came.

I wrote this song hoping that someone would not feel so alone with their disease (although this site is proof that being alone is necessary) but all of the comments I received made me not feel so alone.

The words I wrote are my own but they seem to echo those words of many others. That is why this place is so amazing. The community and common bond we share is real and deep.

I am thankful so much for this place, this community and all of my Online Diabetes Friends.

This Thursday I will spend a lot time with all of you on my mind.

Sincerely,
George Simmons

I am thankful for people like you who have the talent to put into song what the rest of us feel! The song is beautiful. I was thinking that I would totally put it on my ipod if I could find a way to download it!
