About Me and My Diabetes
I'm a type 1 diabetic and I also have epilepsy as well. I was diagnosed in November of 1999 with my diabetes and jus 3 months before with epilepsy, so 1999 was not a good year for me lol! Anyways i'm on the insulin Novolog and i use and insulin pen that actually shoots the needle in for me because I hate needles, but i'm also on Lantus insulin as well but that i do have to use a syringe and give the shot to myself and I hate it lol. I do count carbs but i'm on a sliding scale with my insulin so i can eat when I want and how ever much I want, which is good for things like parties like if I want an extra peice of birthday cake, because i am a big sweets eater which I know is horrible!!!! But as of right now i'm working on getting a pump which i'm very excited about. I go back to my doctor in June to turn in sheets of my bloodsugars to see if my insurance will pay for it, and i'm keeping my fingers crossed they do. So thats just about it about me I hoped that helps you to get to know me a little bit better ;)
