TuDiabetes - A Community for People Touched by Diabetes

Diabetes is a disease with very few cures
It is a disease that can kill, maim, blind, and steal dreams
It is a disease that can create dams for personal relationships
It is a disease that no one wants to talk about it’s so un-cool
It is a disease where food is your worst enemy
It is a disease that attacks people of all ages, race, or gender
It is a disease that separates one from family, friends, and co-workers
It is a disease that either makes you strong to survive or you do not

Diabetes has sickness on it's back.
The longer you're alive, the more you check,
For boils and breaks and bloody boo-boos.
For saying, "No thank you. That food really looks good!"
