I read this book recently. It was recommended to me by someone at work. I am in love with this book! It shows a different and important context for understanding Type 2 diabetes in terms of vulnerability to illness brought about by stress and a toxic environment. The book makes the case that a social support system and sense of community are social approaches that contribute to well being. I have read this book once, but it will be worth reading again soon. This book, it's content, and the author have my respect and recommendation. The author is a genuinely caring advocate and this is apparent in his inspiring work.
