The Shire is like a winter wonderland at this time,a blanket of white covers the trees bushes and ground the crunchiness of one's steps as you try your best to put one foot in front of the other gives you a feeling of celestial well being although your toes feet and legs say other,we are never prepared for the snow and are often caught with our pants down as the saying goes mind you only fools would drop there pants in these tempretures,I can see footprints of a fox heading across the meadow nothing else the ground is almost like a canvass pure white and virgin.
As I pick my way down the lane carefully my feet sinking in the snow brushing bushes makes clumps of snow fall on my head and shoulder almost like a bad case of dandruff,slipping at my age is not advisable so slowly slowly does it crunch crunch go my footsteps leaving a path for other intrepid folks to follow,horse in stables press there heads out to see what fool is out in this weather,I shout it's ok for you guys not knowing if the horses are male or female they just look at me and go on eating what ever goodies they have in there warm stables.
I took my tablets insulin before I left and will be reaching my destination soon love to say this was me out walking but it is not just a memory of when going for a walk was a piece of
